Obituary for Mary Stone (Kizzia)

Mary  Stone (Kizzia)
Mary Kizzia Stone, age 98 of Nashville, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord on October 3, 2016 in Texarkana.
Mary was born, July 19, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Fred and Clarice Kizzia. She was a member of the Nashville First United Methodist Church for over 68 years. The church was central to Mary’s life and rested in a strong faith and a desire to serve her church, family and others. She served from time to time on the administration board and was honored to serve on the committee for the planning and building of the present church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Organization for more than 68 years. She was also a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.
Mary was employed by the Graysonia, Nashville and Ashdown Railroad for 30 years. She was a charter member of the Terra Firm Garden Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Emmett R. “Stoney” Stone, her parents, two brothers; Fred Kizzia, Jr., and Cooper Kizzia of Murfreesboro, and two sisters; Jo Walker of Hot Springs and Mildred Blanks of Hamburg, Arkansas.
Her survivors include; 1 son, Johnny R. Stone and her beloved daughter-in-law, Faye. Sister-in-law; Glynda Kizzia and brother-in-law; Dr. Larry Walker. A number of nieces, nephews who were very dear to her, as well as a large host of other friends.
Services will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church in Nashville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night from 6 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorials to the Church or a charity of your choice.
