Obituary for Mary Gwendolyn Roesing (Chism)


Mary Gwendolyn Roesing, age 82 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, April 8, 2016 in Nashville. She was born November 26, 1933 in Bingen, Arkansas to the late Arley and Elsie Davidson Chism. She was a retired Home Health Caregiver and a homemaker.
She was known for her quick wit, and she loved to read. Even in the nursing home she could read a book in one day. She loved music, laughter, and loved to cook. She also loved family and church gatherings. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Preceding her in death was her parents, a grandson, Christopher Staggs, a brother, Jimmy Chism, A son, Dennis Dwayne Edwards, and her husband, Tommy Roesing.
Her survivors include; a son, Gene Edwards of Little Rock, daughter, Jacque Tollett of Nashville, a son, Garry Edwards of Nashville, a daughter, Terri Lea Worthington of Nashville and a step-daughter, Deb Erwin of Nashville.
Grandchildren; Michael Paul Edwards, Justin Edwards, Jason Edwards, Chad Staggs, Bradley Burnett, Chelsie Nolen, Drake Staggs, and Gracie Hoover.
Also 5 Great Grandchildren, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2 pm at Bluff Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday night from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
